Dust and Smoke Main Causes of Asthma

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Dust and smoke are ranked first and second causes a person has asthma. Said the Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Asma Indonesia Faisal Yunus in commemoration of World Asthma Day.


"Most of the dust can be directly asthma. Both were smoking," he said, Sunday (09/05/2010) in Silang Monas, Jakarta. However, he explained, the cause of asthma each person is different, such as fumes, cold air, and food.

Faisal advise people with asthma to avoid the trigger factors. "It could also exercise asthma to asthmatics not acute. Gymnastics helps breathing is good," he explains.

Asthma can occur for two reasons, namely genetic (derivatives) and the environment. "As many as two thirds of people with asthma because of the environment. The third was just genetic," he said to Kompas.com.

Now, the number of asthma sufferers in Indonesia reached 5,000 people. As many as 64 percent of 400 people uncontrolled asthma.
