PIG FLU (Swine Influenza)

Swine flu disease influenza is a disease caused by influenza A virus subtype H1N1 can be spread by animals, especially pigs and there is the possibility of transmission between humans.

Actual H1N1 virus commonly found in humans and animals, especially pigs, but both have different characteristics.

CLINICAL SYMPTOMS


In general, the disease is similar to influenza with clinical symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, lethargy, fatigue, sore throat, rapid breathing or shortness of breath, possibly accompanied by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Transmission

Mode of transmission of swine flu that is in contact with sick pigs, direct contact with patients and can also through the air. The incubation period is 3 to 5 days.

PREVENTION

As with other flu prevention guidelines, prevention is as follows:
  1. Keeping clean and healthy living behaviors and also maintain hygiene and environmental sanitation and personal
  2. Consumption of nutritious foods
  3. Get plenty of rest
  4. Covering your nose and mouth when sneezing
  5. Always wash hands with soap after the move
  6. Going to doctor when experiencing flu symptoms (particularly after contact with pigs)

TREATMENT
